We're back in Desiderata Valley this time to visit with the Jocque Family.
Meet Sophia, a Popularity Sim whose goal it is to become a Hall of Famer. She is already in that career. Outgoing and active she likes working out, spending time with her best friend Opal, Music and Dance and she has abs to die for.
Her husband Marcel who is a Family Sim who wishes to reach the heights of Head of the SCIA.
He is active and playful, loves food, tries to watch his waistline and enjoys the great outdoors.
While Sophia went to work and Violet to school Marcel quit his job as a Fast Food Manager and found a job as a Gumshoe in the Intelligence field where his car pool came soon after to take him to work.
Violet arrived home at 1pm with a school friend Andrew Hsu. The welcome wagon was also still here.
This time Julien Cooke and the Gavigans, Nathan & Mary were the welcoming committee. They chatted a while before Violet saw them out so she could go to her new teen job as a School Crossing Guard.
Sophia is a Minor Leaguer, after work she saw Checo Ramirez walking by and stopped him for a chat.
Marcel got a promotion to Private Eye and brought home a colleague, John Mole. Violet's schoolfriend Elise Kratz came home with her.
As is tradition Monday night saw the first invitation Downtown and the Jocques were invited by their good friends the Contrary family to the Maple Springs Pool & Spa.
Sophia had fun on the dance o' sphere,
Tuesday morning started with Marcel burning the breakfast.
A cheap light was added to the kitchen as it was rather dark. The burnt breakfast was eaten regardless.
Another body skill for Sophia and she hit a big wish of getting 'super fit'.
Before Marcel went to work he earned himself a cooking skill point from the tv.
Sophia had the day off today, she met her postie Gina Patch and townie Jill Fleig.
Family Sim Marcel keeps rolling the wish for a baby, it rolls on and off so for now I'm ignoring it. :D
Violet makes sure to keep up with her friends via email or online chat.
Townie Nikki Zhang joined him for a game of chess.
Violet came home with Asia Wilkie and they headed straight for the pool table.
Marcel made best friends with Edward Contrary.
He joined his wife in a work out session which saw him join her in the super fit department.
Violet and Skylar are now best friends.
On Thursday Violet got her first A+.
She went out to kick a ball about though she doesn't show a great deal of interest in it.
She's into Fitness rather than Football and she also became Super Fit.
Sophia earned 2 body skills from a chance card and so works on her Charisma for a promotion. She's currently a Starter.
Marcel got a promotion to Surveillance Operator and such was the nature of his shift he walked straight back to work.
Violet and her Mum are very close, they soon became best friends.
The double shift paid off for Marcel and he celebrated becoming a Reconnaissance Communicator.
Sophia invited their good friend Count Phil Bradshaw over. I thought as he was such a good friend he might go for a bite of one of them but it was not to be. It makes me laugh when it happens autonomously though. :D
On Friday before work Marcel used his limited mechanical skills to fix the dishwasher without incident.
Violet brought a friend Garrett Clarke home from school. She has lots of friends and 7 best friends.
Sophia is an All Star... hello career reward! She has some friends too but not as many as her daughter.
Violet helps out with chores cleaning up after herself and others.
Marcel got promoted to Rookie Field Agent. He's glad to be back on day shifts!
Violet reached the top of the Law Enforcement teen path.
Sophia fixed the shower on Saturday morning before work.
Violet used a thinking cap to work on some skills for college, she loves her Mum's new punchbag!
Marcel looks dapper in his new suit and he got promoted to Field Agent... finally no more Rookie!
Sophia is the M.V.P, she also earned 2 Charisma and 2 Body Skills from a chance card! Her Body skill is complete now with fairly little effort from her thanks to many chance cards this round.
Working on her cooking skills Violet successfully served up some Crepes.
Violet called Rick to come over but must've hit Cyd Roseland instead and he enjoyed a game of pool with Sophia while Violet continued earning some skills.
On Sunday morning Violet got a great boost of aspiration for making her 10th best friend.
Sophia came home with a promotion to Superstar and of that we have no doubt. :D
She too got a nice boost of aspiration for making Count Phil Bradshaw her 5th best friend.
Of course not everything in life is Rosy as Violet found out when a wrong decision on a chance card saw her demoted.
Feeling down and a bit sad she called Rick to see if he wanted to sneak out and he was there within the hour!
Thankfully Violet made it home safely although tired.
Summary-
This was another fun week, concentrating on skills and jobs really but time for fun and friends too- their natures are inclined for friendship so it was no surprise this family has an abundance of friends.
Marcel is currently wishing for a baby and a holiday and their funds are such now that they can afford one or both next time.
Violet will go to college next time around, she has several skills in each subject and I'm trying to get her the 'billiards' scholarship too so fingers crossed she'll get that next time.
The fun you've had with the Jocques this week is obvious, especially in the last picture :-D
ReplyDeleteHow do you manage with your teens to have them hold jobs and still get their homework done, make and maintain friends, and help around the house?
I expected the Count to bite at least one of his friends, too, but something must have stopped him. Maybe the blood of super-fit Sims tastes not sweet enough!
To be fair Violet brought a friend home every day, and as a Popularity Sim she has a boost to her friendships too so it was easy for her to make friends quickly. It was summer too at the start of the round so that helped.
DeleteI usually have teens do homework first thing in the morning but as Violet worked the late shift she did hers before work.
I literally think she cleaned one bath... :D
Maybe you need to influence the Count to bite someone before it starts the domino effect, I'll have to check it out ;)
