Jacquet Family

 

We're back in Bluewater Village which is attached to Riverblossom Hills in my game at the Jacquet home.

It's a nice layout for play but furnished very cheaply.

Denise Jacquet and her son Gilbert live here.

The first thing they do is go to J'adore Bakery, their family business.

Gilbert gets their employee over and sets all of them a 'work' uniform.

The day is very long and tiring. Gilbert works on Sales, his employee works on stocktaking,

and out of shot here but manning the register is Denise. Sanjay Ramaswami seems surprised to find his wife Priya buying something sweet.

Gilbert serves Cyd Roseland and Alexandra O'Mackey walked in too. It's a great way to meet lots of neighbours.

However it was a really long and tiring day! They left very late at night.

When they returned time hadn't passed of course so they both had short naps and refreshed.

and at lunchtime they were welcomed by Malcolm Landgraab IV along with Wanda and Stephen Tinker.

Gilbert decided to sell the business. His LTW is to become a Hall of Famer and Denise wants to earn 100K (she already has the memory of earning 50K) and the Bakery is more hard work than fun for me. They got a great amount of money for it though.

Gilbert used the money to upgrade everything in the house.

Well almost everything, especially better bathroom and bedroom furniture.

Gilbert found the Athletic career on Tuesday.

Denise found a job in Business. Weirdly after she'd gone I noticed her hours are 9am-3pm, hmmm. 

Gilbert went on a date with Nerissa Ajjangadde to F.M. They had a fun date but an exhausted Gilbert had to head home... alone.

Well Denise's job is definitely of the adult variety, I'm not complaining and while I can easily cheat an adult career for her it's nice that I didn't have to and hopefully she can reach her LTW naturally. She likes Science and invested in a nicer telescope.

She also needs to be fit and tried skipping but it hurt her knees,

She kept falling off the treadmill,

and stuck to yoga in the end.

Denise set fire to breakfast and went into panic mode,

Luckily the fire alarm alerted the fire department and no damage was done, except to the breakfast.

Denise is friendly with the local paper delivery girl and they catch up every morning.

Gilbert asked Nerissa out again and they shared their first kiss. It seems that Nerissa, like Gilbert is a natural blonde judging by her eyebrows.

Denise played gooseberry but the kids didn't seem to notice she was there.

While she may not admire this young man's chess skills she did sit and chat with him until they became friends.

Meanwhile Gilbert was being his usual fun self and added soap to the fountain.

well, Stella Roth thought it was funny!

The next day when Gilbert was at work Denise visited Amelia's Closet where she bought herself a new dress.

She loves to tell everyone how much she'd like Grandchildren although it seems a hopeful wish knowing her Romance loving Son.

Gilbert isn't progressing up the career ladder very quickly... :D

Unlike Denise who is now a Junior Executive.

Gilbert got a new outfit too but I decided to keep his hair black as I thought he might look out of place as a Blond. (or that I might forget who he is during the rest of the round). :D

As Denise has her daily chat with the paper girl Gilbert made a new friend.

Gilbert has the desire for Woohoo so he invited Nerissa on a date to the Round Barn General Store.

There was absolutely no privacy but they managed to dodge the catcalling... mostly. :D

On Thursday Gilbert's friends' Neil Cameron and La Shawn Cameron came over.

When I realised they shared a common name I thought it was a nice opportunity to add them to this 'hood but Gilbert still needs better relationships with them. A nice dinner was had by all though.

Nerissa snuck by that night and left Gilbert a nice stereo.

Off to work on Friday...

After which Denise came home in the best mood! Her and Gilbert both brought colleagues home. Gilbert had his colleague do some gardening. 

With her promotion to Executive Denise got the Execuputter career reward which is great for Charisma.

At the moment though Gilbert is working on his body skills for promotion, he's currently a Starter.

On Saturday night while Denise was sleeping Gilbert invited Daisy Greenman over and they fell in love...

She stayed the night and became Gilbert's second woohoo. He's not the easiest Romance Sim I've ever played.

 The week was coming to a close and the Jacquet's wanted to finish in style so threw a New Year's party on Sunday as the Season turned to Winter.

There may not be snow on the ground but it's cold. Gilbert greeted his guests but was a bit disappointed that the Camerons were a no show.

Suddenly Gilbert whipped out a pan and wooden spoon and started to 'Make a Ruckus'!

No party is complete without a Smustle dance.

Denise lit a sparkler and almost took Julien Cooke's eye out!

Around 10.30 Denise got out her pan and spoon to Make a Ruckus.

Father Time arrived just after that.

He came inside and Gilbert was just getting to know him....

When who shows up? Yes the 'fun police' crashed the party around 11pm and they never made it to Midnight!

Gilbert lit his own sparkler and had fun making cool circles with it after everyone had left!

Summary-

I really enjoyed this week at the Jacquet's. It was a shame that Neil and La Shawn didn't show up as they were going to 'move in' and out again but maybe next round for Gilbert unless another resident beats him to it.

I honestly don't remember the 'Make Ruckus' thing with the pan and wooden spoon even though I've had New Year Parties before it was a very long time ago. With the 'Fun Police' I seem to have in my game it seems unlikely any party will last past 11pm for me to try again!

Gilbert just made it to All Star and Denise is an Executive and they have done well this week.
