Here we are in Pleasantview at the home of Marla Biggs and her new fiance Tom Freshe.
Marla & Tom went straight to the local clothing store to make some purchases. While Marla met some new folks Tom had a laugh with his good buddy and ex dormie Chaz Whippler.
Once home the garden was set up as a wedding venue and all their friends were invited.
I'd already flipped a coin before Marla & Tom moved in to decide whose surname to use- Marla won, obviously. :D
It was a roof raising party with all their friends, new and old attending.
In strange other news, Ellen Frost & Phineaus Furley can't keep their hands off each other even though last time we saw them Phineaus was kissing Tish Chung (practically in front of Ellen). There were many slaps but Ellen seems to have forgiven Phineaus. Tish is his 3 bolt love though, so who knows what will happen between now and their turn. :)
Tom rolled a wish for a baby and happy to say there were no chimes on their wedding night! I'm trying to keep the population down a bit.
Anyway Tom wishes to have 6 pets reach the top of a career so he'll be busy enough soon.
On Tuesday bright and early Marla left for her Oceanography job as a Deep Sea Fisherman. She really wants to be a World Class Ballet Dancer one day but today is not that day. With Tom not working they need the cash.
With the career boost Marla obtained a career reward and Tom (who is a nature lover) enjoyed feeding and watching the fish after he'd tended to his new vegetable garden while waiting for Marla to come home.
After work they went to the Pet Store where they found Chaz making a purchase! Guess we'll find out what he picked when it's his turn later in the round.
Tom & Marla chose two small dogs, a male Chihuahua and a female Pug. They are called Jack and Jill.
They got new collars and Tom chose the Service career for Jack and Showbiz for Jill.
With the rest of the day free Marla & Tom began training the two dogs in a relevant career related skill.
Marla put her Hydro bot to good use.
On Wednesday Tom made a hearty plate of Omelettes using fresh ingredients from his backpack.
Marla got a chance card....
Marla made a good choice and will no longer have to listen to weird talking fish.
She bought Cyd Roseland home from work.
Her celebration was short lived with Cyd though and he left as her Hydro bot was having a breakdown.
Jill had gained a promotion to Understudy and later Jack would become a Therapy pet- he'd earned the family 2,500K from a chance card as well.
On Thursday morning Marla found the Dance career. She also used the time to decorate their bedroom in animal prints and upgrade their ensuite too.
The kitchen got a makeover as well and Tom enjoyed reminiscing about their wedding party.
Tom had been up half the night training the dogs so took advantage of a quick nap on one of the new sofas.
Marla was promoted from Tap Dancer to Ballroom Dancer and walked straight back off for a second shift.
It got her the position of Flamenco Dancer where she went off for her first shift on Friday.
While Marla worked and Tom napped the Hydro bot went crazy again.
When Tom woke up later he greeted Melissa Fancey.
She gifted him a furnishing discount in future and he asked her to help with the garden.
Between them they got a pretty good job done and once home from work Marla helped clear the rest of the garden.
That enabled Tom to spend some time in his vegetable garden where he finally got his Gold badge.
On Saturday morning Marla did yoga until her body was super fit.
She and Tom played red hands to improve Marla's mood for work. She still needs several skills but you never know if a chance card may pop up.
When she left for work Tom continued his dog training- teaching Jill how to 'play dead' made Emily Lee most amused when she stopped by.
With Jill having her relevant skills for potential promotion it was Jack's turn- he needed to learn to roll over to reach the top of his career.
Poor Tom has been working so hard this week he's almost exclusively lived off various shakes from his blender and the bathroom mirror for hygiene.
Jack and Jill are good friends now.
On Sunday Marla got a nice boost of aspiration while making a best friend giving her a 'this has been a great week' pop up. Tom is teaching Jill something new to improve her future skill set.
Tom found his new skill of 'talking to plants' most useful to turn his plants to 'thriving' so he could harvest them before winter sets in too heavily.
Resident grumpy townie Bruce Rascher kicked over the trash can. Look behind you Bruce!
Marla's Sentry bot gave Bruce a good electric shock! That will teach him, he soon ran off the lot. :D
Tom made a bff with Steffi from Uni which gave him a good enough boost of aspiration to have a 'great week'.
Even more of a boost when Jack reached the top of the Service career!
Tom suggested the dogs may like to try for puppies and while they enjoyed trying there were no puppy chimes.
Marla returned from work and this is where we leave the Biggs family for this round.
Summary-
A great week for Marla & Tom. No chance cards for Marla in this career so far and a few more skills needed for promotion next time.
Tom was hoping for puppies but instead he may just put Jack and Jill through 3 careers each which I think would also gain him his LTW. Another tough week ahead for Tom then. :)
