The Smith Family

 

We are staying in Strangetown for a while first to visit the Smith family residence at 101 Road to Nowhere.

Here is Pollination Technician #9, his 'parents' were called Colony Drone 65535 and the Birth Queen so it's safe to assume our 'Pol' was a manufactured alien. 

Since he arrived in Strangetown though he met and fell in love with Jenny (formerly Curious).

After they married they produced a son Johnny who got his father's alien skintone but his mother's features such as eyes/ears/nose and blond hair. Then little Jill came along.

Johnny was a teen for a whole few hours then he threw a much wished for Birthday party to celebrate his adulthood.

Here he is looking pretty pleased with himself.  He is a Popularity Sim who wishes to become a Media Magnate.

His parents are both Family Sims, his mum wants to be Chief of Staff someday whilst his Dad hoped to graduate 3 kids from college. Sadly it was too late to try for a baby as I never checked the wishes until after 6pm when Jenny became too old.

Anyway, Ripp and Chloe still have the hots for each other.

and Johnny and Ophelia are as playful as ever.

The party rocked and everyone will be talking about it for ages or at least until the next party. :D

Johnny decided onwards and upwards and he took the decision to move out straight away. We'll join him after this story.

I haven't changed anything much downstairs but the upstairs needed less routing issues so I took a lot of walls out and just made 2 bedrooms for now. There is plenty of scope to make a third should we ever need it.

The next morning over pancakes Jill was looking forward to going to school.

The time flew by and she was soon home cheering her first A+.

While Pol tended the garden Jill enjoyed a good swim and earned several body skill points which helped her work off her 'pancake belly' that she'd developed just that morning.

The next morning as Jenny was leaving for work Pol helped Jill with her homework.

He enjoyed a little swim himself but made sure he popped out to be sociable with any neighbours who strolled by.

Jenny brought her friend Shannon Todd home from work who insisted she had higher wages due to his connections.

Jill had brought her cousin Luna Curious (daughter of her Uncle Pascal) home and Jenny made her famous homemade soup.

Her other guests enjoyed it too, Shea Johnston and teen Edward Fuchs were welcomed as they were walking past.

Before Jill went to bed Pol danced with her to get her mood back up after she worked hard on her school assignment.

on Wednesday who should visit but Johnny who was welcomed by his dear old Dad.

Pol who is the chief 'Friend maker' while Jenny is busy working greeted Leo Wilkie who gave Pol discounted furnishings in the future.

Johnny decided to go out the back and work on his Cannonballs! Nice job Johnny.

Jenny got promoted to Intern.

Jill brought John Tan home from school.

The next day Jill made best friends with both her parents in quick succession.

and after school it was party time again, this time for Jill!

Here she is, she rolled Popularity and wishes to be Captain Hero someday.

Jill chose to grow up her close friend Solveig Graham (due to the 'Graham' name, we just saw Kristen Singles become a Graham when she married Joe).

Here she is as a teen, sadly she only had a 'poor to fair life' so far but I'm sure we can improve that for her someday.

In all that excitement Jenny arrived home with a promotion to Resident and spun straight into Elderhood!

She came inside to join the party and saw her son Johnny fall in love with Ophelia. (Good job that's the home I moved him into). :D

The party rocked and it was a real family gathering.

On Friday Jenny worked on her new career reward to increase her mechanical skill. It's amazing the things you find inside a surgeon's dummy!

 

Jill found a teen job in Law Enforcement and left for her first shift as a Parking Lot Attendant.

Pol hired a Gardener, as much as he loves the Garden it is much too big for him to cope with and the Gardener had some handy tips for landscaping to reduce the workload.

Jill came home with back to back promotions after she'd walked off the lot to another shift and reached the top of the teen career.

She spent her wages on electronic devices and clothes.

Pol earned a Gold Badge in Gardening in the early hours of Saturday.

Jill slept in until 10am.

Then donning her new summer outfit went with the family to the Diner. Should I be concerned that a member of the Secret Society has snuck in here? 

Jill also met Bella Goth who seems to be making more regular appearances in Community lots now.

Back home Jenny tried her new Summer dress on that Jill bought, it's her favourite green. 

On Sunday Jill had invited Bella over and they soon became friends.

Then a whole houseful of people arrived.

They stayed until late. Jenny had got promoted to G.P on Friday and had the weekend off which made for a very sociable time for the family and it's good to see Pol's alien daughters Chloe & Lola here and making good friends with the rest of the family.

The week ended very happily for the Smith family.

Summary-

This was a good and busy week. Jenny did well with a few promotions as she needs lots of skills and friends. 

Pol won't get his LTW now of course but I will try and keep him in Platinum as much as possible.

Sadly Bella was befriended a little too late in the week to move in, but at least she's a good friend to the family now. 

Solveig Graham may or may not join Jill in college if Jill decides she wants to go unless of course the actual Graham family 'adopt' her during their next turn.

Next we're off to the Nigmos house to visit with Johnny and Ophelia for Johnny's turn on the list.
