Here we are back in the Student Dorm at Académie Le Tour here in Pleasantview. Freshman Year we were here for Marla Biggs but for Sophomore Year we are here primarily for Tom Freshe, Ellen Frost and Phineaus Furley.
Tom Freshe is a Fortune Sim who wishes to have 6 pets reach the top of their career. He hopes to make big bucks in future.
Ellen Frost is a serious student, also a Fortune Sim she wishes to reach the top of the Entertainment career some day- odd considering she finds all manner of entertainment rather tedious.
Finally Family Sim Phineaus, who wants everyone to like him but over breakfast with Marla you can see it's not going so well. Phineaus wants to raise 20 puppies/kittens over his lifetime so maybe he'll end up a loner but with loads of pet friends instead. :D
Tom's first order of the day is to get fit.
He and Ellen are good friends.
Phineaus seems to have a soft spot for Marla and often seeks her out.
Ellen knuckles down and works on her term paper.
Tom rushes out to meet anyone who looks 'different'.
Everyone is happy when lessons are over.
Both Tom and Ellen are Economic Majors which is befitting their Fortune aspirations.
Later one night Tom is whisked away to join the Secret Voluvent Society.
He must get extra fit and shows off in front of Ellen and Emily Lee as they come back from end of half year exams.
Tom and Marla are best friends.
So are Phineaus and Emily... not such a loner after all Phineaus!
Tom greets everyone and regardless of who I'm playing it's another Sim for fellow dormies to chat with.
Ellen and Marla are best friends.
Chaz Whippler and Emily Lee are still put to task to get skills and do assignments so they don't fall behind the others.
Ellen spends lots of time alone.
A sudden lightning storm set fire to a tree and although Ellen freaked out no harm was done.
Later she too is inducted into the Voluvent Society, having already been friends with Marla and Tom she'd only needed one other friend to join and found them hanging out around the dorm.
Winter has arrived at the Dorm.
and Sophomore Year is over! All got spots on the Dean's list.
Summary- This felt like a quick year.. I was so busy playing that not many photo's were taken!
Once one member of the Dorm joins the Secret Society it's often a domino effect each night until they are all in (providing they are all friends of course).
There are no real romantic attachments for anyone although Phineaus & Marla and Tom & Ellen often seek each other out. We will see next time!
I know what you mean about being so busy playing that you don't take photos!

So far, none of my students has made it to the Secret Society, but I'm working on it.
You're probably right about Spring... we'll see what happens. :)
DeleteIt was funny reading about Marla here. I've recreated her in TS3 as she married into one of my main families, and I've just been playing her - but in my game, she's a grandmother now! It'll be interesting to see where her life leads in a different universe
