Welcome back to Uni! We are back at Sim State University which in my game is attached to Strangetown. This small 5 bedroom dorm is going to be our location for this story.
Ty Bubbler is the reason we are here, a Sim I have never played so I am excited to see how things go.
He moves in with his good friend Jared Starchild and 3 other sims, Jimmy Phoenix, Erik Swain and the only girl, Sam Thomas.
Ty asks around to see if anyone else is taking Philosophy 1.
Ty wishes to become a General in the Military. He figures being able to strategize can only be a good thing and Erik is only too happy to play chess with his dorm mate.
Not many people care for the Cow Mascot, but Ty, a true Popularity Sim just loves meeting new people and chatting to them all.
Ty decides that it's time for a Dorm trip out and his bio says he likes people watching at The Campus Quad....
and so to The Quad they all go!
There are two Secret Society members here so Ty chatters away to them for a while... his dorm mates amuse themselves mostly.
Ty and Jared become best buddies the next morning.
Ty stops anyone passing who looks like they might be an SS member, but who knows if they are dressed in their civvies?
I've found a very quick way to make friends (without smart glasses) is to simply 'Gesture'.. high fives, tough handshakes etc. By the time you've been through the list (5 or 6 different types) the Sims are practically friends.
Also I always give my Sims their aspiration boosts, so Ty makes friends more easily as he is a Popularity Sim.
Aha, I guess Ty's latest friend was an SS member!
A funny guy came in really late one night and kept screaming at Ty to 'show me the secret handshake'!
Poor Ty didn't have a clue.
He was handcuffed and led away...
To the rather imposing looking Landgrabb Society House... SSU's Secret Society.
Sadly only two members seemed to be here to welcome Ty. It's going to take him a while to become Big Sim on Campus at this rate.
He helped himself to a few Simoleans off a magical tree,
Got a bit of a shock when he tried out the Lie Detector machine,
and finally found a gun that tells you who last had their grubby fingers on something.
He made it back in time to join his fellow dormies in getting on the Dean's list and passing the semester.
The next morning the Dorm Cook burnt the breakfast.
Ty and Jimmy became best friends.
and Ty starts to make a new friend in one of the campus Cheerleaders.
Later that night Ty fancied getting off Campus and so got his Dorm group together and taxied Downtown to the 50's diner where he met an interesting lady, a Contessa no less.
They used some of their exam funds to have a nice meal... looks like Jimmy has a sweet tooth.
Ty met the local 'Diva' (Jordan Midlock) while his buddies played pool.
After a day of assignments and catching up with skills needed Ty went back to the Landgrabb Society House. This time he found two new members! They look equally as surprised to see Ty.
He decided to start the 'SS makeovers'... my way of telling the members apart... This guy (Merlin Louie) got a blue mask,
and Yvette St Julian got a red one.
On his return back to the Dorm Ty invited his good friends and fellow philosophers' Allegra and Castor over to shoot the breeze with Jared and himself.
hmmm, I'm not sure telling us you fancy Ashley Pitts is exactly Philosophical Allegra!
Castor and Ty are good buddies though and like spending time chatting about their various theories.
His visitors stayed so long Ty almost forgot to head to his Final Exam!
But he made it! A GPA of 4.0 and again on the Dean's list to end his Freshman Year.
Another fun 'Year' at Uni.. I really enjoyed playing Ty, he mostly wanted to meet someone new and make them his friend once he had met them. No love interests so far.
The Secret Society is great for getting some much needed skills as each has at least 2 skill devices if I recall. It's usually good for making friends but the game seems lacking in excess Sims on Community lots at the moment. I need to find that hack... :D
Your Ty is a bit different from mine, except for their aspiration. He got into the Secret Society real quick! I have not done much in that regard yet.
ReplyDeleteA good idea to send him to the quad, seeing as that is mentioned in his bio (never thought of that myself - duh!).
It was fun to play Ty, and it seems extremely odd that after all these years there are still pre-made Sims that I've never played! :)
