Roseland- Cyd

 

Here we are at 318 Bay View Drive in Belladonna Cove to play Cyd Roseland and his dog Porthos.

When I set the game up I obviously thought what great company for Cyd's dog Porthos to have strays Danny & Sarah Crittur merge with the family. 

Cyd is a Knowledge Sim who wishes to be a Criminal Mastermind, it doesn't really fit with his wholesome healthy attitude to life but who am I to argue? 

This is a very basic home, I just added 3 dog beds and food bowls.

Cyd spent a completely exhausting morning praising and scolding (more scolding than praising!) all the dogs and was so relieved when the welcome wagon turned up as they took over entertaining the dogs while Cyd ordered a so-not-healthy (but yummy) pizza.

Much as he enjoyed meeting some new folks he was a bit miffed that they ate all his pizza! He did get lucky though and found the Criminal career where he will start tomorrow.

He also thought what a great idea to get each dog a job which would a) help with funds and b) keep them out of the house. :D

so... Sarah is in Showbiz

       Danny is in Service

and Porthos is in Security.

Danny went to work that night but there was no promotion as he needs to learn a skill & is a complete doofus therefore training takes forever with him.

The other dogs finally went to sleep and Cyd also crashed out for a few hours. They missed the Leader of the wolf pack's visit.

In the very early hours of Tuesday Cyd tried to bathe Sarah but she did not like being dunked in the tub at all and made a hasty escape.

So she left for her Showbiz job a lot less clean than she could have been.

Cyd had to leave to work and hoped he still had a home and some furniture left when he returned! He had dug up a couple of bones in the yard so he kept everything crossed.

The worst that happened was that Danny used indoors as a toilet instead of outdoors. 

Porthos went to work but wasn't promoted today.

No promotion for Cyd but Sarah did get promoted to Understudy and unlocked a new collar for dogs.

Once again Cyd tried to bathe her but she was having none of it!

Sarah has the best skill set of the dogs but still needs to learn to Roll Over and Play Dead.

Cyd started teaching her to Roll over that night and was still going early in the morning of Wednesday but finished just before she had to leave for work.

Luckily it was his day off so he turned his attention to Porthos who needed to learn to Stay.

After exhausting Porthos (and himself) he had some other jobs to attend to before he could even get dressed for the day.

Just then Sarah came home with a chance card promotion to Stunt Double. She too earned a new dog collar.

and then this happened.....

Sarah had 3 puppies! A male called Athos and two females called Mary & Annie.

Cyd spent the rest of his day off cuddling the puppies and praising/scolding the other 3!

Thursday was a blur...Danny got promoted to Therapy Pet and also earned a new collar, Porthos too got a promo and is a Guard Pet, he got a funky fur colour for cats. Cyd lost money on a chance card for lying about a dead canary.

On an extremely pet heavy Friday, Cyd, desperate for a bath, food and sleep looked around his messy, smelly house then made a call...

and once dressed in suitable attire he greeted the lady from the pet adoption centre,

As lovely as they all were it was a tough decision...

But it was time for the 3 little ones to find new homes. Cyd was hopeful he could cope better with just the adults. 

On Saturday morning Cyd found the weeks' unpaid bills in his mailbox and quickly remedied that by paying them off.

His yard was a complete mess and he attempted to rake some leaves before work. 

Amazingly Cyd came home with a promotion to Bookie. Porthos got a chance card which promoted him to Contraband Sniffer, he earned a fur colour for dogs. Danny is now a Seeing Eye Pet and also got a fur colour for dogs.

Cyd finally managed to keep Sarah in the bathtub for the first time this week!

On Sunday morning he called his friend Timothy Riley for a natter before work,

A lucky chance card gave him some much needed funds and a skill point.

Although the dogs were home today they are never really alone as they go out and beg for treats to any passers by. :D

Cyd came home with a promotion to Con Artist. He's earned 5K and it felt like really, really hard work!

He took the dogs to the new Planetary Pet Store.

He met a new neighbour while Sarah got some much needed rest... think she was as tired as Cyd this week.

Uhoh, always worries me when I see playables buying something! Hmm, guess it'll be a while til we're at the Riley's again though. :D

and here are the dogs looking very smart in their new (and earned) collars!

While the dogs played and chewed Cyd worked on his body skill as the sky turned Wintry.

A rare sight indeed this week for all 3 dogs to be asleep at the same time, which gave Cyd some time to himself to pursue a skill at his new telescope....

Well... until this happened!!

Oh Cyd, what a week you've had but it feels like the hard work is yet to come. :D

Summary-

Wow, just wow. I think I was more exhausted playing this than poor Cyd. Who knew having so many dogs would be that hard? (I'm a cat person myself). :D

It was quite amazing he got to work but that was nice in a way in that he at least got fed as he rarely had time to cook.

Next round will be very interesting as Cyd feels the effects from his abduction! At least he has some funds now and can afford some help.
