Goldstein- Betty

 

Here we are in Riverblossom Hills at the home of Betty Goldstein. 

Betty is a Fortune Sim with a lifetime wish to be a Business Tycoon. Betty is already an elder and 55 days 'old'... that doesn't seem so old to a 57 year old I have to say. :D

The house belongs to Betty's good friend Catherine Viejo. She is a Romance Sim with a wish to be a Celebrity Chef. Interestingly enough both ladies wish to quit their elder jobs. :D

Catherine obviously has a fair fortune as she gave her old house to her favourite niece, Cleo Shikibu and bought this one.

Also living her are father and teen son Andrew and Jacob Martin. Andrew's mother was a dear friend of Betty and Catherine's and after she died they took the boys in.

Jacob has a snow day first day. Yay. He spent ages building a snowman or two...

Only to then destroy one of them. 

Teens... who knows how their brains work?

Betty is a legal secretary and I sent her for a first shift.

Meanwhile the rest of the family were entertaining the welcome wagon of Julien Cooke, Chico Ramirez and Rose Greenman.

Catherine came home from her shift with a top of the elder career promotion. She stopped Melody Tinker who was walking by for a chat.

Andrew is a Fortune Sim with a wish to earn 100K. He is in the Gamer career and currently is a Gold Farmer. He cannot cook though. :)

Jacob chats easily with Melody. Although he's a Popularity Sim (with a wish to be a Media Magnate) he perhaps should be a Romance sim with his rocky love life. He was going steady with Jules O'Mackey but they broke up and he's now with Sandra Roth.

Andrew's 'adopted' Aunt Catherine is happy enough (or hungry enough) to eat his burnt offerings.

As are the guests. :)

Betty comes home with a wish fulfilled when she earns some money.

They all head to the diner for a meal and have to split on two tables as there are so many of them.

I guess Betty missed out on the food as she was hungry the instant she got back.

A nice bubble bath at the end of the day is all Betty needs to ensure a good nights sleep.

Jacob welcomed Sandra who walked past after school on Tuesday. Sandra is the second cousin of Betty, her cousin being Sandra's dad Morty.  (Morty's dad was Betty's Uncle).

They made out and are going steady.

Betty invited Leo McGreggor, the local farmer and her 'crush' over.

He didn't seem in hurry to go anywhere and started talking about his travels to the teens.

Later the family went off to explore the Hills Community Centre.

Andrew really liked the look of this young lady, Denene Simpson.

In fact everyone was very sociable, Catherine is quite drawn to Chico Ramirez, Jacob chats with David Ottomas, Betty with Gilbert Jacquet and Andrew is on the deck talking with Denene.

It was a very good evening and they went straight to bed when they got home.

Betty quit her job on Wednesday and decided to start a novel.

Andrew was promoted to Flag Capturer.

Catherine decided to start a garden, her and Jacob both enjoy Nature and can each help the other to maintain the plots.

Betty is talking with Cleo Shikibu, Catherine's niece and Jacob brought a friend home from school.

Cleo has called round every day, she clearly is very fond of her Aunt.

Andrew helped Jacob with a difficult assignment.

Betty raves about Leod to Catherine...

and Catherine lets it be known that she too fancies Leod... the gloves are off... :D

On Thursday Jacob is catching up with friends on the phone, Andrew and Catherine skill while Betty is happy to mooch about, no doubt dreaming about Leod.

ahh, she was just waiting on his arrival. He brought Sandra Roth with him.

Catherine beats Betty to greet Leod and immediately admires him.

Betty all but throws herself at Leod.

She has the pink hearts first.

Another scene where Betty and Leod chat comfortably on the sofa, Andrew talks to Cleo, her housemate Patricia Wan talks to Catherine, a stray cat is scratching up the sofa and Sandra must be looking for Jacob.

Best friend with Leod already.

and more...

much more... all is fair in love and war. :)

The beauty of having lots of sims over is that they all chat amongst themselves which will be useful when their turn to be played comes around.

Betty works on her novel into the night.

Catherine and Jacob enjoy a late supper.

and Andrew is working on his logic skills. He hasn't shown a wish to be abducted but I am never against trying. :)

Romance Sim Catherine was in need of a night out and wished to invite Julien as her date.

He accepted happily and they had quite a good time, but Cleo arrived at the diner and took all her Aunt's attention and so Julien fired off.

Not much happened on Friday except Andrew is now a Power Leveller. Jacob has a teen job too but I can't remember what it is although he is definitely at the top of it. :D

On Saturday night Betty is cooking... 

ah.. Santa cookies!

and just like clockwork Santa turned up just after 9pm (bit early!). HoHoHo.

He left the family a nice stereo which Jacob was very grateful for!

Of course when Santa arrives everyone woke up and Betty had the urge to cook a holiday roast.

The whole family enjoyed a lovely late supper.

Santa stayed for several hours before walking off the lot.

On Sunday it was Spring again. :D

The Nature lovers' are in the garden while Andrew earns a skill and Betty is still working on her novel.

Andrew had the wish for a kiss and so invited Denene over. After they kissed he rolled wishes to buy stuff and so sent her away.

Jacob invited Melody and her parents over. Melody is his best friend number 4.

He then called his friend Vamsi who became his best friend number 5 earning him a nice platinum boost.

To finish the week Betty sold her Romance novel for a great price and a big boost in aspiration.

Summary:-

I really enjoyed this week with Betty and co. Lots going on and hard to get everyone to do the things they need but I had a good go. Betty and Catherine both quit their jobs early on as it seems like little reward for a lot of time off the lot.

As it's so nearly Christmas in real life, I used the lotdebugger to create 'snow' so that I could have the Winter setting (even though it was Spring throughout most of the week) for the Christmas party.
