Capp- Albany

 

Here we are at the first of the Capp Households in Veronaville.

They have moved into this modest bungalow which is sparsely furnished using most of their funds.

Here's the family... Father Albany talking with his teenage Daughter Miranda, Mother Goneril playing with toddler Ariel, and Hal the young man walking off to school with his sister Desdemona.

Fortune loving Goneril wished for a job... any job. She wants to become The Law, but for now Journalism was available for her to go to straight away so she got changed and went to work.

Family Sim Albany was content to stay and watch little Ariel, and even taught her some skills before gaining one or two of his own before the Welcome Wagon came around.

Trent and Trisha Traveller arrived with Mary Gavigan where they stayed a while getting to know Albany.

Miranda found a job in the Law Enforcement field... she really wants to be a Rock God but Music wasn't available and this family really need funds!

Young Hal & Desdemona both got A+ report cards.

Albany was only too happy to help Hal have some fun.

Goneril looked on the Computer that had been dropped off whilst she was at work, she didn't find Law but did find Military, and that's a good salary so she was happy to switch.

After dinner Goneril's brother Kent called and invited the family Downtown...

They arrived at Rodney's Hideout for their family outing.

Nice to see Miranda's friend (and family enemy) Juliette Capp in the outing, as well as Titania Summerdream... who quite rudely walked straight from the taxi off the lot. 

Albany didn't take too kindly to mortal enemy Bianca Monty being part of the group either but was civil enough in his first interaction with her to at least drop the enemy status.

While Albany worked behind the bar for some much needed cash, Goneril & Miranda were happily spending it playing Poker.

Everyone was really rude about poor Hal's (lack of) Creativity skills on the piano.

When Albany called a taxi the entire group arrived back home, which was odd. Anyway no harm done. 

Goneril hired a nanny and decided to start out the right way... by giving her a really big tip!

It worked too as Heidi was happy to play with Ariel.

Miranda thought it would be cool to serve burnt Lobster.

Her Dad gave her some homework help.

Goneril is always happy when she gets a promotion.

Albany and his little Ariel are best friends.

After dinner Goneril & Albany helped the youngest schoolchildren with their homework.

Some 'Red Hands' later and they were firm friends.

Miranda isn't the troubled teen she's made out to be and is really helpful and enjoys spending time with the younger members of the family. She taught Ariel to talk.

A little later the school friend Miranda bought home gave her a very friendly hug goodbye- totally noticed by her parents! Don't they look thrilled? :D

While Albany has been content to stay home and watch the kids he also does want a job- his Lifetime wish is to reach his Golden Anniversary, but that's years away and so he takes a job in the Education career to help raise some family funds.

Besides his youngest Ariel has just grown up and will be at school all day.

Miranda invited the Mercurial Mercutio over for her first kiss.

On Thursday morning Albany set fire to the breakfast pancakes.

The newly grown up Teenager Hal and his sisters ran to the kitchen but their quick-thinking Dad had already put out the flames.

Even in his not-so-great mood at work the right decision earned him a promotion.

A second round of pancakes the next morning goes down well- although I'm not sure shoving your whole fist in your mouth is quite so ladylike Ariel!

Three important jobs for Goneril today... she ordered some groceries, invited the Headmaster to tea and found her job in Law!

As the Capp's are still pretty poor I went back to the old standby of buying one expensive item and placing it in each room I showed the Headmaster (Pausing to move it between each room, obviously).

Goneril thought she'd show off her cooking skills and make Crepes Suzette but she just ended up setting fire to herself.

Once again her Hero Husband was there to save the day.

and they stuck with safe-no-need-for-cooking Salad for dinner. 

The Headmaster made small talk with Albany and the youngsters...

But over an Espresso talked much more seriously to the Teenagers!

Hal, the new Fortune Sim who so desired the Private School entry was thrilled to be accepted along with all his siblings. 

Hal wants to follow in his Mother's footsteps and become The Law.

He was happy to earn his first paycheck in his teen career.

On Saturday the family went for a day out Downtown. (Secretly Goneril had wished for Public Woohoo (random) and of course Albany was happy to oblige.

At the time (thankfully) all the kids were still playing/chatting outside and were none the wiser!

Miranda and Hal enjoyed a few games of pool whilst Goneril and the two girls had some fun dancing. Albany though out of shot was bowling.

Next morning Albany showed his wife how you really make Crepes.

He and his little Desdemona are best friends too now.

Ariel loves to Garden and to Show off.

Later that day Miranda reached the top of her teen career.

Whilst Desdemona grew up later that night! Oops, I totally forgot it was her birthday.

She changed her look and rolled Pleasure... she wants to be a Professional Party Guest.

Of course being in Private School gets her a leg up on the promotion ladder and so after just one shift she too reaches the top of her career.

On Monday morning Miranda made the decision to go to college...

Her Mum sees her off with a cry and a hug.

and leaves Miranda showing off her really silly outfit... :D

It's a very strange Dinner that evening with one member of the family missing but they can't wait to hear all about Miranda's college days!

Summary-

What an exhausting but fun week. It's always harder when funds are very low and there are lots of Sims!

Thankfully Albany was around during the two fires as I couldn't get any of the kids' to drop the 'fire' from their queues long enough to call the Fire Department.

Next we are off to visit with Consort Capp at Capp Manor.
