Monica Bratford- Round 2

 

Here we are back in the main 'hood of Veronaville to visit the newly graduated Monica Bratford. She could afford this modest home.

Downstairs is really just one large room separated by the staircase where Monica has a small kitchen and dining table as well as a desk, sofa and tv.

Upstairs houses a small bathroom and 2 bedrooms.

Monica is a Knowledge Sim whose lifetime wish is to become a Media Magnate. No luck on the job front today and she can afford to stay home until she finds Journalism.

She was invited on an outing downtown where she chose the Maple Springs Spa lot.

She met Christian Love, a distant relative of her former housemate Sarah Love no doubt.

Having lost her uni weight Monica was determined to keep it off and what better way than burning calories in the dance o'sphere?

Monica had such good skill that she never fell out, but was a little dizzy once she'd finished.

It was a successful outing and it was nice to catchup with new aquaintances and old friends such as Guy Wrightley.

On Tuesday Monica invited her Uni crush Darren Chung over- she had long ago locked the wish to be engaged to him but he is currently working his way through Uni having joined the Frat House so is not available to move in with her just yet.

Monica also invited Christian Love over, if she is to play 'reunite the families' she needs to get to know him better.

Her third guest of the day was a random bartender she'd obviously befriended called Stephan.

Monica was obsessed with her hot tub in college and she couldn't resist bringing it with her, poor Stephan just got electrocuted and left shortly after. Monica always wants to get electrocuted. Weird Knowledge Sim :D

Monica got her wish just after that.

She sent everyone home so she could attend to her very poor needs before falling into bed.

Still no job on Wednesday so Monica spent the day doing housework and skilling before throwing a party.

Once everyone had finally got inside (thanks stupid 1 foundation step) there was much hot tubbing and smustling,

Monica made best friends with Zoe Zimmerman,

and then fell asleep in her dinner while everyone smustled around her.

She woke up in time to thank everyone for her rockin' party.

Still no job on Thursday so Monica went to H&M Veronaville for some retail therapy.

Her and DJ couldn't decide whose 'grow up' outfits were worse. Probably Monica as DJ does at least look a bit edgy.

Monica chose a nice strappy jumpsuit with boots as surely Autumn isn't too far off. 

Once home she invited both Sarah and Christian Love over to meet.

A walkby townie was greeted and they spent all evening in the hot tub getting to know one another.

Monica liked her new pj's and took her hair down for bed.

It's Saturday already and Monica still hasn't found Journalism in the paper. On the plus side she is best friends with Christian and asked him to move in.

He said No! 

As if the Universe knew she needed cheering up Sarah called and asked Monica on an outing. It was one of those 'where were you, can't believe you stood me up before the taxi arrived pop ups', but Monica went anyway and just invited Sarah over then asked her to join an outing. 

They had a nice dinner and a good catch up.

So much so that Sarah sneaked by later and left Monica a gift.

You can see that most of Monica's thoughts are about Darren.

On Sunday morning Monica finally found the Journalism career! She will start on Monday (in about 2 years time probably) :D

She called Christian over and this time he said yes to moving in.

Christian is a Romance Sim with a LTW to Woohoo 20 Sims. He brought 14K to the lot so Monica upgraded the bathroom in her house and spent the rest on stuff for Christian's backpack before she called the taxi to take him to her bestie Sarah Love's house.

Monica later met Oberon Summerdream, that friend-to-everyone in the 'hood.

Her friend Jessie Pilferson also dropped by... how funny that Jessie's outfit is the black version of Bella Goth's red one. ;)

Finally Monica got to finish the week having some fun with Darren! 

Summary- This was a good week with Monica, it feels like more than round 2 with her because she's been played at Uni at least 4 times.

It was nice not to have a job so she could skill more (maxed creativity this week) and make friends as well as having the party, lots of people over and some outings.

 Christian of course will join the round and we'll see him when we get to 'L' on the list.

I'm waiting until I play Darren until I see what his wishes are.... it won't be too long as his surname is 'Chung'.
