Broke Family- Round 2

 

Here we are back in Pleasantview and it's been just shy of 2 years since Round 1 at the Broke house!

Brandi is up early cooking pancakes for her boys- I found it amusing to show two 'encourage' wishes she had for her youngest son Alfie- to encourage him to be lazy, and sloppy! Not going to happen. :D

Brandi is a Family Sim who wishes to reach her Golden Anniversary, she may need a husband for that, heh. She is currently in the Military career as a Junior Officer.

Here are the boys, teenager Dustin and his younger brothers Beau and Alfie.

Dustin is a Fortune Sim who wishes to earn 100K over his lifetime.

He still likes Angela Pleasant and invited her over for a makeout session before school.

Brandi came home with a promotion to Counter Intelligence and was working out when Beau gave the shout out to come to his birthday cake alongside his brothers and Dustin's school friend Sunny Cho.

Beau rolled Fortune and like his big brother wishes to earn 100K.

Brandi helped Alfie with his homework.

Brandi was up bright and early to go to work on Tuesday.

It's officially the first day of Winter at the Broke house today.

Beau found a teen job in the Intelligence career.

Young Alfie made a friend in his school mate.

Beau wishes for college and to get as many scholarships as he can so he's hoping to be abducted.

On Wednesday Brandi had the day off.... and what a day it was.... She had a date with Burglar Gordon King who she was introduced to by her son Dustin last round. It was a dream date.

A little later she celebrated Alfie's first A+.

Then she met Craig Ray and oblivious to her poor son Beau losing his job, they fell madly in love.

She proposed engagement and move in! Craig added just 1K to the family.

Just after that though, Gordon came by and Brandi rushed to greet him, planting a huge kiss on him and right in front of Craig. oh dear.

Craig immediately broke the engagement off!

Brandi was so busy outside making out with Gordon that I almost missed this sweet interaction of Craig consoling the crying Alfie. 

"Hey kid... we'll always have Wednesday".

The three boys waved to Craig as he left the lot.

Then quickly changed into their formal best to watch their mother marry Gordon King!

Rebound face?

Brandi is Broke no more.. she's now a King. :)

Gordon is a Knowledge sim who wishes to leave his burglar days behind and be a Media Magnate instead. He brought 19K to the household and a couple of goodies in his backpack.

The nightly bins-kicked-over began with Cassandra Dreamer, hmmm was she mad at Brandi or Gordon, or was she a good friend of Craig's... who knows?

Is it an odd thing to come to breakfast and find a stranger sitting in his trollies in the kitchen? 

Still he was a good help around the house. One thing Gordon can do that other Sims cannot is the action 'Sneak Here'. :D

Craig walked by on Thursday and this is how he and Brandi greeted one another.

She paid him 50 simoleons and told him to buggar off. :D

Brandi so wanted to have the hots for her new husband and found her ReNuYu orb in her inventory,

Yes that worked a treat, glasses and a beard plus a new look. Well Gordon can't stay in that burglar outfit forever. Dustin wasn't impressed. :D

The Headmaster paid a visit and was impressed enough to let the boys into his posh school much to Beau's delight.

The only thing I did to improve the score in Brandi's poor little home was to take this picture (from Gordon's backpack) and place it in each room before showing the Headmaster.

Brandi awoke in the early hours with a bump. :D

Craig came by early today and punched Gordon on the nose.

The rest of the day passed uneventfully unless you count Brandi throwing up lots of times and Gordon picking up the trash lots of times, he even paid Craig off as Brandi had earlier in the week but that didn't seem to work.

So they celebrated Dustin's birthday into adulthood!

and here he is all grown up. Dustin never rolled the wish for college so off he goes into the real world.

I've moved him into 170 Sim Lane where he will join the round next time.

On Saturday Beau & Alfie were having a competition to see who could gain the most body skills on their Mum's career reward. I think it was a tie.

*sigh*

Beau bagged another scholarship,

Alfie cheated at chess,

and very early on Sunday morning Brandi went into labour.

It's a Girl!  little Lizzie joined the family.

Brandi took the boys to the Main Street Shop to by some clothes and electronics as well as groceries.

Then it was time for a birthday party!

Alfie turned Teenager! He rolled Popularity and wishes to be a Celebrity Chef.

Check out Bigfoot raiding the fridge. :D

It was a fun party and nice for Brandi to see her good friends Nina and Dina Caliente too.

Beau finally got abducted,

Gordon thought it was brilliant. :D

and so Beau got his extraterrestrial scholarship and left immediately for college where we will catch up with him before too long and we will end the round here too.

Summary.

Whew- what a week. Brandi wanted to get married for sure but was very torn between Craig and Gordon but she really did like Gordon more.

It was so funny how the neighbours' (The Dreamers in truth) were so disgruntled about Craig- Cassandra, Darren and even Dirk came by and kicked the bin over every day after Wednesday).

Craig of course joins the round now so we'll see him when we get to 'R'. 

Gordon finally found the Media career on Saturday for a Monday start.

I usually play Dustin through college so it will be nice to play him straight as an adult, maybe on Angela's turn if she decides to follow that route).

It's my intention to move the 'King' Family next round to a nicer house which is why I didn't upgrade anything, Brandi is saving her hard earned cash. :)
