Roth Family

 

Here we are in Riverblossom Hills at 208 Welsh Lane, the home of the Roth Family. This house is a mirror image of the 'Goth' house in Pleasantview with slightly less Gothy decor. :D

Meet the family- we have Mum Stella who is a Popularity Sim with a Lifetime Wish to be a Media Magnate, she is already in the Journalism career and is a Year Book Supervisor which is level 1.

Her daughter Sandra is a Family Sim who wishes to become Captain Hero- she has a teen job in Law.

Dad Morty is a Knowledge Sim with a lifetime wish to become a Space Pirate. He is already a Relic Liberator in the Adventurer career which is level 5. Xander, the youngest is still a child who 'wishes to be an explorer like his Dad' some day.

As Stella left for work inheritance kicked in for Morty, Sandra and Xander from Betty Goldstein. Morty's dad who was called Cassidy had a sister called Annabel (Goldstein), which made Morty & Betty cousins.

The kids' left for their private school on a very wintry Monday morning.

Morty wasn't working until later so he spent the morning working on some skills for promotion.

He had time to meet and greet the Welcome wagon of Herbert & Faith Goodie and Cyd Roseland before they said their goodbye's and Morty left for work.

Sandra brought a friend Jane Mace home from school and they settled down for a game of chess.

Stella and Xander arrived home at the same time, he with an A+ report card and her with a promotion to Blog Writer.

Xander's new friend Polly Ottomas came home with him from school.

Morty was the last to come home and with a promotion to Dread Pirate.

They enjoyed a late family supper of Grilled Cheese Sandwiches.

Once Jane had left Stella and Morty settled down to help the kids with their homework before everyone went to bed.

Tuesday was a Snow day!

That's a 'yay-I-don't-have-to-go-to-school' face!

Xander who is a nature lover, spent his morning outside catching bugs,

and even petted a stray penguin who was waddling on by.

Sandra wanted to brush up on her cooking skills and served up some pancakes,

then before both her and her Mum had to work, she improved on her body skill (she loves Fitness) while Stella started painting (she loves Arts & Crafts).

Xander had greeted a neighbour and brought them in for a game of chess while Morty continued skilling as he had the day off.

After their shifts Sandra was promoted to Law Firm Receptionist and Stella is an Internet Movie Critic.

Morty invited Lisa Ramirez over as he needed some social interaction and they were soon best friends.

and Xander ended this Tuesday by starting some fruit and vegetable plots in the greenhouse.

On Wednesday morning they shared a nice family breakfast.

Sandra got her A+.

Xander cooked his first successful Muffin from his new toy oven,

and Morty earned his first 5K by becoming a Warhead Disarmer.

After her work shift Sandra decided it was time to go to college so she waved goodbye to the family and called a taxi.

Here is she is newly grown into a young adult and joining the dorm of Jacob Martin, Jules O'Mackey and friends where we will catch up with her next.

Stella added some new furniture to the dining room on Thursday.

 

Xander brought Molly Ottomas home from school where they soon made friends.

No promotion for Morty but he did bring Jason Greenman home.

They watched Xander and Molly playing Marco Polo for a while before it started snowing again and the kids had to come out of the pool!

Xander soon got warmed up again though in front of their nice toasty fire.

On Friday Stella made friends with the postie William Enriquez while Morty met a townie called Charlie Tang.

Xander and his Dad are best buds.

and the new Fact Checker Stella is best friends with her co-worked Patricia O'Mackey. 

On Saturday Morty got a promotion to Hostage Negotiator and earned 10K.

To celebrate he took Stella and Xander to the Oresha Family Dining where they enjoyed a game of Moshulu and a nice dinner.

Stella is not only best friends with Xander but on Sunday morning she made best friends with her daughter Sandra too who called from college.

After a good few days of working hard in the garden Xander obtained his Bronze gardening badge which means he can plant some new things.

From Hostage Negotiator to International Sim of Mystery, Morty is flying through his career,

As he had chance to walk back for another shift for a few hours he spun into his new 'Mystery Man' suit and walked off.

A little later it was birthday time for Xander and Stella had thrown him a big party.

Just then Morty arrived home with a promotion to Space Pirate, his LTW complete now that he reached the top of the career.

He just had time to rush in the house and see Xander turn teenager!

Xander rolled Knowledge like his Dad but wishes to be the Hand of Poseidon, which fits in quite nicely with his Nature loving personality.

Xander finished the week by making a best friend of his sister Sandra, who knows what college contacts he may need if he decides to go next time!

Summary-

A very enjoyable round at the Roth's, who I haven't played in forever. 

It was fairly work/skill oriented but they also made quite a lot of friends as all their personalities make them quite social.

It'll be a run of college next as I play Sandra, then off to Strangetown S.S.U for the Ruben brothers!

Roseland- Cyd

 

Here we are at 318 Bay View Drive in Belladonna Cove to play Cyd Roseland and his dog Porthos.

When I set the game up I obviously thought what great company for Cyd's dog Porthos to have strays Danny & Sarah Crittur merge with the family. 

Cyd is a Knowledge Sim who wishes to be a Criminal Mastermind, it doesn't really fit with his wholesome healthy attitude to life but who am I to argue? 

This is a very basic home, I just added 3 dog beds and food bowls.

Cyd spent a completely exhausting morning praising and scolding (more scolding than praising!) all the dogs and was so relieved when the welcome wagon turned up as they took over entertaining the dogs while Cyd ordered a so-not-healthy (but yummy) pizza.

Much as he enjoyed meeting some new folks he was a bit miffed that they ate all his pizza! He did get lucky though and found the Criminal career where he will start tomorrow.

He also thought what a great idea to get each dog a job which would a) help with funds and b) keep them out of the house. :D

so... Sarah is in Showbiz

       Danny is in Service

and Porthos is in Security.

Danny went to work that night but there was no promotion as he needs to learn a skill & is a complete doofus therefore training takes forever with him.

The other dogs finally went to sleep and Cyd also crashed out for a few hours. They missed the Leader of the wolf pack's visit.

In the very early hours of Tuesday Cyd tried to bathe Sarah but she did not like being dunked in the tub at all and made a hasty escape.

So she left for her Showbiz job a lot less clean than she could have been.

Cyd had to leave to work and hoped he still had a home and some furniture left when he returned! He had dug up a couple of bones in the yard so he kept everything crossed.

The worst that happened was that Danny used indoors as a toilet instead of outdoors. 

Porthos went to work but wasn't promoted today.

No promotion for Cyd but Sarah did get promoted to Understudy and unlocked a new collar for dogs.

Once again Cyd tried to bathe her but she was having none of it!

Sarah has the best skill set of the dogs but still needs to learn to Roll Over and Play Dead.

Cyd started teaching her to Roll over that night and was still going early in the morning of Wednesday but finished just before she had to leave for work.

Luckily it was his day off so he turned his attention to Porthos who needed to learn to Stay.

After exhausting Porthos (and himself) he had some other jobs to attend to before he could even get dressed for the day.

Just then Sarah came home with a chance card promotion to Stunt Double. She too earned a new dog collar.

and then this happened.....

Sarah had 3 puppies! A male called Athos and two females called Mary & Annie.

Cyd spent the rest of his day off cuddling the puppies and praising/scolding the other 3!

Thursday was a blur...Danny got promoted to Therapy Pet and also earned a new collar, Porthos too got a promo and is a Guard Pet, he got a funky fur colour for cats. Cyd lost money on a chance card for lying about a dead canary.

On an extremely pet heavy Friday, Cyd, desperate for a bath, food and sleep looked around his messy, smelly house then made a call...

and once dressed in suitable attire he greeted the lady from the pet adoption centre,

As lovely as they all were it was a tough decision...

But it was time for the 3 little ones to find new homes. Cyd was hopeful he could cope better with just the adults. 

On Saturday morning Cyd found the weeks' unpaid bills in his mailbox and quickly remedied that by paying them off.

His yard was a complete mess and he attempted to rake some leaves before work. 

Amazingly Cyd came home with a promotion to Bookie. Porthos got a chance card which promoted him to Contraband Sniffer, he earned a fur colour for dogs. Danny is now a Seeing Eye Pet and also got a fur colour for dogs.

Cyd finally managed to keep Sarah in the bathtub for the first time this week!

On Sunday morning he called his friend Timothy Riley for a natter before work,

A lucky chance card gave him some much needed funds and a skill point.

Although the dogs were home today they are never really alone as they go out and beg for treats to any passers by. :D

Cyd came home with a promotion to Con Artist. He's earned 5K and it felt like really, really hard work!

He took the dogs to the new Planetary Pet Store.

He met a new neighbour while Sarah got some much needed rest... think she was as tired as Cyd this week.

Uhoh, always worries me when I see playables buying something! Hmm, guess it'll be a while til we're at the Riley's again though. :D

and here are the dogs looking very smart in their new (and earned) collars!

While the dogs played and chewed Cyd worked on his body skill as the sky turned Wintry.

A rare sight indeed this week for all 3 dogs to be asleep at the same time, which gave Cyd some time to himself to pursue a skill at his new telescope....

Well... until this happened!!

Oh Cyd, what a week you've had but it feels like the hard work is yet to come. :D

Summary-

Wow, just wow. I think I was more exhausted playing this than poor Cyd. Who knew having so many dogs would be that hard? (I'm a cat person myself). :D

It was quite amazing he got to work but that was nice in a way in that he at least got fed as he rarely had time to cook.

Next round will be very interesting as Cyd feels the effects from his abduction! At least he has some funds now and can afford some help.
