Here is John Burb finding it hard to let go of his new young adult daughter Lucy as she enrolled in college!
A teary goodbye later (for John, Lucy couldn't wait to get started!) and Lucy entered her dorm. She's grown up in a dark outfit indeed.
So I decided she can embrace her inner goth whilst in college- there's plenty of time for being sensible later. :D
This is Lucy's new dorm.
It's another of my refurbs. A 6 bedroom dorm. It was meant to be boys one side/girls the other but of course my silly students soon messed that up. :D
A cosy lounge area separated by a big entrance hall with games/musical instruments which lead to the dining hall on the other side.
Lucy chose Literature as her major and had some time before her first class to introduce herself to her fellow dormies.
She was particularly attracted to Sam Kramer, 2 bolts. He is the only dormie so far who doesn't mind listening to Family/Grilled Cheese Sim Lucy yap on about grilled cheese. Of course Lucy eventually wishes to have 3 kids graduate college so it doesn't hurt to find a relationship as soon as possible. I feel that I've seen another Kramer in the 'hood so it might be nice to have that name in the mix.
The other dormies left at 2pm to go to class so Lucy was alone in the cafeteria. She managed to snag the last plate of pancakes which saved her having to eat the very burnt Chili that the dorm cook was about to serve up.
Lucy played chess with Steffi until they were friends.
After her first class Lucy immediately wanted to befriend her professors. It doesn't hurt her grade either to be friends with them.
Like her Dad Lucy quite likes being in Nature and so tidied up the yard a little.
Everyone missed the Cheerleader fighting with the Cow Mascot. The Cheerleader won.
Lucy was very enthusiastic with Abbey recreating the college mascot's cheer!
Later she watched the cooking show with Sam & Steffi and no one noticed the fire department turning up to put out a kitchen fire.
Since she'd enrolled Lucy had a wish keep her childhood friends close and the paperkid became her bestie.
Looking at her likes/dislikes Lucy asked Sam if she could give him a makeover.
A hat and glasses still gave them 2 bolts but they really do like each other. Maybe if they get together I can tweak his likes/dislikes as well.
Lucy's first semester ended with her getting an A+ and a spot on the Dean's list.
I sent Lucy to the campus coffee house where she scoped a lot but didn't find anyone more than 2 bolts either. She did meet a few suits though.
Afterwards she walked to Academie Le Tour's boutiques to by herself some new pjs. Lucy is at SSU and I had no idea you could walk to different campuses. I guess I've never had more than one college per 'hood before.
Lucy had just got back when she got abducted by a Secret Society member.
Members at the Landgraab Society were very welcoming and it didn't take Lucy long to befriend them and become Big Woman on Campus.
She also made use of the career rewards that were at the lot, first a creativity skill,
and then a Charisma skill.
The next day Lucy caught up with friends and professors.
Sam enjoyed busting some moves while Lucy played the drums.
On her finals day she invited her Mum & Dad over. She'd had a wish to call Jennifer every day and it improved their relationship no end.
Lucy influenced her dad to tend the yard.
Afterwards they all enjoyed non burnt food in the cafeteria. Lucy had made grilled cheese of course for herself. :D
Lucy hugged her parents goodbye.
and sprinted to her final exam!
Another top grade and spot on the Dean's list brought Lucy's Freshman year to an end.
Summary-
Nice and quick just playing one Sim- hopefully some more playables will join the dorm as the round progresses.
