Monica Bratford.

 

This is the home in Veronaville that Monica Bratford chose after she graduated college.

I added a little floor space and changed some walls from the original house and filled it with Monica's backpacked goods on top of the basics that came with the house.

Upstairs now has 3 decent size bedrooms and a bathroom, all waiting to be furnished in the future.

The first thing Monica did was to invite Bartender Stephan Howe over. She got flirty with him over the course of the last round.

She proposed- he accepted!

Not one to waste time Monica threw a party and Stephan became Mr Bratford.

He added just 1K to the home but does have some decent skills- full cleaning and 8 logic. 

All Monica's Uni friends came and celebrated even though her former house mates Sarah & Jessie chose white(ish) dresses Monica forgave them. :)

The party rocked and the Bratford's sealed their marriage with some afternoon Woohoo.

After a short nap they were invited downtown and chose the Crypt O'Nightclub where they spent most of the night chatting.

Stephan was given a free sample (large tv) as a network gift before he bravely talked all about love with the local Contessa. Poor Monica is exhausted with her plumb bob matching the wallpaper. 

Knowledge Sim Monica is in her chosen field of Media and left today to start her job as a Fact Checker.

Family Sim Stephan got a job in Education- his LTW is to graduate 3 kids from college so he needs to set an example if he expects his kids' to be smart.

So Tuesday afternoon after a loooong homecoming celebration Stephan is promoted from Playground Monitor to Teacher's Aide.

Not only is Monica now an Obituary Writer she is also pregnant.... in her weird glowing green bedroom. :D

On Wednesday Stephan mostly rubbed and talked to Monica's tummy.

On Thursday to celebrate his promotion to Substitute Teacher Stephan went to the kitchen of his own accord and rustled up some pork chops. I usually direct Sims to cook a certain dish so it's quite nice when they make their own choice.

No promotion for Monica today but she did celebrate earning 10K and brought Nikki Zhang home from work.

Later that evening Monica and Stephan's son Drew was born.

Stephan is a doting Dad and let Monica rest while he took care of the first night shift.

Monica's moods had been so low during pregnancy I suspected twins but she must have just been really tired.

She loves nothing more than to whoop and cheer at her favourite sports on tv. 

Before she left for work Monica hired a Nanny to cover her shifts and gave her a nice tip to help around with housework as well.

It seems like the biggest tip only got half a bed made.... but it's better than nothing. 

Stephan is the newest Elementary School Teacher and Monica has moved from Obituaries to Horoscopes. They have the weekend off now so start their celebrations early!

I often forget Sims can bathe babies in the sink but it's quite a cute interaction.

With their newest funds they give Drew's bedroom a makeover.

Their room too got a 'warmer' glow up.

Monica is up early on Saturday and it looks like the breakfast pancakes will be making a second appearance!

She broke her pregnancy news to Stephan over a nice hot bowl of soup. His face is a picture. :)

Shocked he may have been but Monica told him she knew how he wanted to achieve his kids' dreams of attending college- even before they'd been born!

 

Drew had his toddler birthday on Saturday night.

He is 10 Outgoing and 9 Active which means he'll barely sleep. :D

Monica and Drew made best friends while Stephan napped on the sofa having been up half the night with his energetic son.

Monica was in the middle of potty training Drew when she spun back into her Maternity clothes.

On Sunday Drew made his second best friend.

Monica taught him to walk.

After Stephan had helped Drew learn to talk Monica sat down with him for story time while Stephan browsed the internet.

Drew had learnt all his skills and was enjoying a tickle from his Dad when Monica showed off her impressive second stage baby bump to finish the week!

Summary-

I know it's a long time to wait until Monica delivers! I'll have to make sure that she is fed and rested in every house she visits this round.

It was a very busy week what with the jobs, skills, friends and baby but I think they are off to a good start.
