Tinker Family

 

Here we are once again at Bluewater Village, a district attached to Riverblossom Hills in my game, this time to visit with the Tinker Family.

That's head of the household and Family Sim Stephen, he wished to be Captain Hero so I got him to pick up the newspaper and look for a job.

His Knowledge loving teen daughter Melody is off to school but wishes to be a Mad Scientist one day, she wants to get into private school and eventually go to college.

Here's Wanda, Stephen's wife and Melody's Mother, she is a Family Sim who desires to see 3 children graduate from college.

Skills were very poor in this household so Wanda started to learn a cleaning skill as I intend for her to be a Homemaker.

I also set Wanda to lay some vegetable plots, it was the last day of Summer but she should have time to be able to plant and harvest one set of crops before Winter sets in.

Stephen didn't have any luck finding his career so both adults were home when the welcome wagon of Peter Ottomas, Nathan Gavigan and David Shikibu stopped by. I moved the dining table from the back room into the kitchen area for ease.

Funnily enough Wanda's fitness bar is way over super fit but her body shape does not show that, so she worked out for a while.

Melody asked for her Dad's help with an assignment and with a little encouragement she soon got the gist of it.

After a tough workout and shower Wanda got the body back that matches her fitness bar.

Melody too is super fit, she also found a job in the Gamer career, she starts tomorrow after school.

Although slightly more mature parents Wanda and Stephen were successful in trying for a baby on Tuesday morning.

Melody bought a friend home from school.

Having lots of garden plots paid off for Wanda on Tuesday afternoon when she earned a Bronze Gardening Badge.

The family really needed money so Stephen found a job as a Mascot in the Athletic career as Law Enforcement was still not available, he and Melody carpooled to work.

Early Wednesday morning Wanda showed her first baby bump.

Melody was working hard on her skills.

She'd invited the Headmaster of the prestigious Sim City Academy over to the house to see if she could impress him,

He enjoyed a tour of the house and a simple dinner (no one can really cook yet) with the family,

and Melody was very happy to be offered a place in his Private School.

After a tough night of low moods and near starvation Wanda finally got up to feed herself and soon welcomed baby bump number two on Thursday.

She waved Melody off to her new private school, Melody is thinking 'Today Private School, soon College!'.

Melody came home later with her first A+.

and later top of her career, that's another scholarship in the bag.

On Friday when Stephen was at work (now a Starter) and Melody at school Wanda went into labour...

It's a girl... little baby Tilly.

after cuddles and feeding Wanda had a little more time in her garden where she later earned her Silver Gardening Badge.

Melody made best friends with her newly-promoted-to-All Star Dad. (I figured he may as well stay in the career until he a) found Law Enforcement or b) got the career reward.  So he got the career reward but did find Law Enforcement on the pc and he will start tonight.

It's one big happy family here as Wanda and Melody too are best friends.

of course not everything goes smoothly and Melody got demoted a level from a bad decision at work. She still has one more shift to try and get the promotion back before the end of the week.

She's a good big sister though and helped Tilly with her birthday.

She even taught Tilly how to use the potty.

Melody would have loved to have met aliens but it wasn't to be, she did earn her scholarship in Logic and even tried 'searching for aliens' but it didn't happen.

Stephen got his first shift under his belt, no promotion but he and Wanda decided to celebrate! Did they hear bells though? 

Lots of tomatoes harvested gave Wanda a Gold Badge in Gardening by Sunday afternoon, next time she can grow a variety of fruit and veg.

She also taught Tilly to walk, talk and sing nursery rhymes.

Stephen got not one, but two promotions thanks to being able to 'walk to work'. He will start his next shift as a Patrol Officer.

No such luck for Melody though and she got demoted again! So she lost one scholarship.

But she had happily bagged 4K's worth of scholarships and so called a taxi to start her next stage of life.

Here she is in her new dorm with Sandra Roth. We'll catch her next round. 

Summary-

A good week for the Tinker family, they barely had any funds or skills to start so have all done very well. I'm pretty certain Wanda is pregnant but I can't quite remember and I forgot to note it down.

I never wanted to run their home toy business but I left the building in the back garden as you never know one day...:)
