Beaker Family- Round 2

 

Here we are at 1 Tesla Court in Strangetown at the castle style home of the Beaker family.

If you remember last time Nervous Subject left the home to start a new life and so just two residents remain..

Loki Beaker... who was abducted by aliens last time. He was skilling away in order to reach the top of the Science career in true Knowledge Sim style.

He had just received a little inheritance from Olive Specter.

and Loki's wife Circe, she is Fortune, she dreams of fortune, she talks about fortune but her dearest wish is to become the Head of the SCIA in the intelligence field. 

As dawn breaks on this Thursday morning Loki maxed his cleaning skill and took a stroll off the lot to work. (Technically he's on maternity leave so his carpool doesn't arrive).

Strangely Circe loves Science and had a wish to make some medicine which she did, and sold for some much wanted cash.

Circe is currently a double agent, level 8. She met a new townie walking by and having just realised they are lacking in friends due to a) Nervous leaving, b) Loki not being particularly friendly and c) Circe being downright mean to everyone, she set about trying to make a friend or two for much needed promotions for her and Loki.

It paid off for Loki when he finished work and was promoted to Mad Scientist. He will have several days off now due to not needing to be at work until next Tuesday.

On Friday Loki is spilling the beans on private matters to anyone who will listen. Despite their 'trying' Circe is having no luck getting pregnant.

While Circe was at work Loki had the wish to hire a butler, which seems like a good idea given how strange this house is.

Loki enjoyed the butler's dinner of grilled salmon and was joined after work by the newly promoted to Elite Operative Circe.

In the very early hours of Saturday Loki maxed yet another skill.

then at 5.06am the labour pains started....

oh, an alien baby!

But you know what happens when a Sim hands the baby over..

Twins! A boy and girl.

Loki, being a name of Norse origin decided to continue with that and called his son Njord- which means God of Sea, Wind and Fishing and his daughter (held by Circe) is called Freya which means Goddess of Fertility, Prosperity and the Harvest.

Circe really wished she was at work but instead called up lots of acquaintances to further their friendships, she still needs a few more for her career to flourish.

She spent time at the telescope to earn all her logic skills.

Meanwhile Loki was being a great hands on dad.

He bribed paid his Butler to help out more with a nice wad of cash.

and later on Sunday as soon as he got the notification to grow up the twins he grabbed Freya and took her to the cake.

The only 'alien' feature she seems to have is large shaped eyes, even though they are blue like Loki's.

Loki started the toddler training straight away as Freya was bursting for the potty.

Then Circe got Njord to the cake,

and... wow... he is his Father's son! Nord has all alien features and some very serious eyebrows!

Njord is very Neat, Outgoing and Nice where Freya is very Active, Outgoing & Nice.

As Circe had some free time I made her help Loki with the toddler skills. :D

On Monday Freya finally learned to use the potty.

Njord learned that if he screamed really loudly someone would come and pick him up.

Circe is still working on her social skills, it takes her twice as long to befriend anyone as she is so mean and I can't even get her to use smart glasses as her needs aren't good enough as she just wants to buy stuff.

Loki decided to work off the baby fat by skipping.

Circe even looks mean when she is learning a charisma skill.

The Butler arrived on Tuesday as Circe collected the mail.

On Tuesday night Loki hired a nanny (after the butler had left) and went off for his first shift as a Mad Scientist.

Circe made best friends with Njord.

and the twins made good friends with one another.

Circe's car arrived on Wednesday to finally take her to work.

While she was gone it was birthday time for the twins.

Yes! Toddlerhood done!

and again a big sigh of relief. :D

It's still going swimmingly when Circe too reached the top of her career. LTW acheived.

I gave Freya custom hair colour and a face mask and she gave a big cheer.

and on Thursday morning, a week after we started, the family pose for one last picture until next time.

Summary-

whew... exhausting week with 2 babies/toddlers and Circe not only needing quite a few skills but friends too for her promotion.

They didn't visit anyone, invite anyone over and only socialised a couple of times with walkby's, such was the lack of time or so it felt.

I'm sure they'll make up for it next round!

Sofia Baldwin- Freshman Year

 

Still in Belladonna Cove but at its University town of Sim State to see how Sofia settled in for her first year of college. 

Other students were moving in to the Pinenut Plaza dormitory and Sofia was quick to greet them, here she met Tosha Seavey.

Justin Cleveland is the other playable here, he's just declared Political Science as his Major.

Coming from being an only child to a dormitory full of students (8 in total) Justin isn't finding the transition too difficult. ;)

Pleasure Sim Sofia's LTW is to have 50 1st dates, they don't have to last long or even be that great so she found Alvin Wolosenko, talked a while then asked him on a date which was good. He's her 2nd date, she had her first back at home.

Don't you just hate it when you are talking about one of your interests and it falls on deaf ears?

Sofia is befriending as many Sims as she can for her LTW, perhaps it's not such a good idea to date her fellow students though if she wants to keep peace in the dormitory.

Number 4 is Greg Sims.

Everyone loves a good sing-a-long with Sofia.

All the students love to talk, whether it's hanging out, gossiping or general chatter.

Sofia loves to brag about her best friend count.

The 8 room dorm is nice and full and more often than not full of other students who've been invited in as they pass by.

The first semester flew by and both Sofia and Justin got onto the Dean's list.

They both had to settle down and learn some skills for the forthcoming term and used the Autumn boost for those skills and assignments.

Sofia's 5th date was with Kiyoshi Chun.

Most of which was spent watching the local mascots fighting. :D

Letting their hair down after the last exam Sofia and Justin went to FM downtown for some food.

Sofia met her Mum's cousin... she's always called him Uncle Carlos.

She also met a few townies and future date possibilities, she liked Vince Leelaporn the most when she scoped the room (always looking for the elusive 3 bolter... Vince was 2).

Robin Shankel is date number 6.

But then dates come to an end for the time being as it's Family day and both the Baldwin's and Cleveland's come over.

It was lovely to have a full canteen and for the families to get to know each other as well as their kids' fellow students.

Sofia just had time to find her latest love letter in the mail before running off for her final exam.

Freshman Year passed with flying colours, seemed like a remarkably quick year!

Summary-

A fun year for Sofia... for Justin of course I made sure he had his grades/skills and his turn will come around soon enough.

This time around I have decided that while the dice will still choose the Teenagers' aspirations I will choose their secondary aspiration based on their personalities.

To that end I have given Sofia a Family Sim secondary aspiration and Justin's is Romance, so his turn should be interesting! :)
