Baldwin Family- Round 2

 

Here we are once again in Belladonna Cove at the Tech Terrace apartments for the Baldwin family which comprises of parents Benjamin & Isabel and their teen daughter Sofia and young son Marcus.

While the kids went to school and Benjamin to his Science job Isabel paid the rent and met a new neighbour called Glen Deppiesse.

Sofia got another A+ and Benjamin was promoted to Top Secret Researcher and left immediately for a double shift.

Sofia loves Fitness and her mum loves to join the Yoga session.

Benjamin returned as a Theorist and brought a friend home from work.

A little later Sofia decided it was time to grab some scholarships and leave for college.

She joined a fairly large dorm and her adjoining dorm mate was the only other playable (so far) Justin Cleveland. We will catch up with their Freshman Year next.

Marcus will miss his big sister but loves to play with his Womrat called Panda.

On Tuesday I realised that Benjamin's LTW is to be a Media Magnate and whilst he was sooo close to becoming a Mad Scientist when the Journalism career came up that morning he took it incase he never finds it again during his adult life.

Isabel, who wishes to become Captain Hero thought it best to be friendly to the Landlady.

She requested a repair but forgot to unlock her door so ended up trying (and failing) to fix the leaky shower herself.

Benjamin came home with news of a promotion to Fact Checker.

It's time for a party!

Marcus entered his teenage years. He rolled Fortune and wishes to earn 100K. It's nice that his sister came from college to the party and also his Uncle Carlos (or whatever relation he is!).

ooh it's a double celebration with Benjamin turning to an Elder. So glad he got that job this morning!

The party had been stopped by the cops of course so on Wednesday they all left for school/work feeling fairly refreshed.

hmm Isabel chose the fire escape....

Good choice. :)

She got a promotion to Lieutenant.

She went straight over to her neighbour's the Gavigan's, to share her news with her good friend Mary.

Meet the newest Obituary Writer.

On Thursday Isabel got another chance card.... she decided to make a point and yell really loudly!

It may not have made her popular with her team but the Chief enjoyed it and promoted Isabel, she left immediately for a double shift.

Marcus brought Andzej Harris home from school.

Benjamin got a chance card... he chose James MacGruder.

Nicely done Benjamin.

and then...

Just as Marcus said farewell to Andzej, Isabel had yet another chance card....

oops.. seems her luck ran out.

Benjamin has moved on from Obits to Horoscopes.

and young Marcus got a promotion in his new teen job as a Private Eye.

Isabel made a start on earning back some skills she lost with her fingerprint gun.

Benjamin made a best friend on Friday.

Now promoted to Sports Columnist he and co worker Calista Fuchs share some gossip about Connor Weir.

Isabel got demoted on another chance card but brought her new best friend Vivian Riley home which softened the blow.

A little later the Headmaster came, looked around, ate, talked and happily accepted Marcus into private school.

Everyone has the day off and so Saturday was a day of learning new and old skills. Isabel had wished for and was granted the Toy Bench.

A gathering took place a little later hosted by the Landlady and everyone socialised nicely.

That night Isabel threw herself a birthday party.

Here she is giving a cheeky wink to the camera.

Benjamin arrived home late Saturday and is now an Investigatory Journalist... he's flying through the ranks.

On Sunday Marcus woke up with a wish to sell his womrat, I don't recall seeing that before but I happily obliged, guess he grew out of it.

While Benjamin was at work Marcus and Isabel went to the Swift n Thrift Mini Mart where Isabel bought Groceries and Marcus learnt to Breakdance.

Wow, I seriously didn't even remember that Sims could learn to breakdance! I guess I've never played this lot before. Mostly it looked like Marcus (and his teacher) were dislocating their bodies. :D

After that they went to the Corner Shoppes to stock up on Electrical goods and clothes before going home where Isabel earned a bronze badge in toymaking,

and Benjamin completed the week with his latest promotion to Magazine Editor!

Summary-

This was a fun week, lots of chance cards! I think that was 3 in one day on Thursday. Benjamin has got lucky so far with his promotions, let's hope it lasts so he can reach the top.

 The parties were fun too as all the Baldwins are very sociable.

We'll be catching up with Sofia next. ;)

Aspir Family- Round 2

 

Here we are back in Desiderata Valley for round 2 in the early hours of Monday morning and we've just caught Luis getting abducted by aliens!

Of course Luis can't get alien pregnant as he's a 94 year old elder, but he had a good adventure and went to sleep as the rest of the family were waking up.

Here's Luis' Grand daughter Pauline greeting her good friend Justus Landry before she goes to school.

Pauline's parents are of course Elizabeth and Victor, they both wish to become Head of the SCIA but have yet to find their jobs so Elizabeth has just become a Senior Manager in the Business career while Victor is a Medical Specialist.

They got home in time to see their twin sons celebrate their kid birthdays. Toddler years done! whew.

The next day Luis made his 10th best friend. Luis' LTW is to be a City Planner (even though he's a retired City Planner!) so it won't happen but he always seems to be in a happy mood regardless. 

After school the twins had brought home Barty Bell. Pauline was fresh from the shower,

when suddenly she stood up and twirled into her teenage birthday.

Pauline rolled Family and wishes to reach the top of the Dance career which is hilarious as she is unbelievably lazy. :D

She did however roll a wish for a college grant and was given one for her A+ which made her Mum happy.

As fun as her young bedroom was it was time for a change,

She got a more grown up room and a good night's sleep but awoke to find her Mother in her room on the pc, it is the only one in the house to be fair.

It seems everyone else had been up for a while as Luis had just fulfilled his grandson Rafael's wish to have homework help whilst Victor finished helping Alejandro with his.

The staircase I'd added into the middle hallway to make room for the twins bedroom.

Thursday came around and Luis met Christian Love who listened happily to Luis talk about his grandchildren.

When Pauline came home from school Luis offered to take her to the shops,

They went downtown so Pauline could buy herself a mobile phone then went back to the valley to a clothing store,

Pauline met Rick Contrary at the Frippery Frock and socialised a while. She really wants her first kiss of course but Rick is not of any attraction to her.

Back home saw Victor and Elizabeth being greeted by the twins after work. Elizabeth is the President of the company while Victor is a Surgeon.

Luis had made Baked Alaska to impress the private school Headmaster when he came over later for dinner, the whole evening was a success and Luis' 3 Grandchildren were accepted.

After the Head's visit the adults went outside to skill whilst Luis tried (in vain) to get abducted again.

On Friday just as her mother was out of earshot Pauline declared her crush for Justus.

She left for school in style in the birthday present her Grandfather had given her... the car he spent most of last round restoring.

Luis is an excellent babysitter and is always home for the kids and today is a good day as the twins are celebrating their first A+'s.

Justus snuck by a little later and Pauline and he shared their first kiss.

Luis was too busy searching the skies for aliens to notice.

But as his hobby is tinkering he began to work on the old model railroad he'd started.

By the end of the night Luis had added not only a mountain but buildings and lights.

Saturday came around and for once the whole family were at home.

They went for the day to Greave's Greener Gardens.

They played, ate, fished and made lots of new acquaintances before it got dark and they got too tired to stay.

After a refreshing nap Luis had added lots of signs to his railway

Elizabeth had earned a silver badge in sewing.

and Victor made a best friend while Luis served up some of his earlier catch.

As night came around again Luis had one big gap left on his railroad....

As he was working on that Pauline set about earning some body skills.

While she got fitter Luis finished his model railway by adding the huge lake. He's close to being in the zone in Tinkering now.

On Sunday morning a miracle happened after almost 2 weeks of searching and the Intelligence career came along!

With his skills Victor will start as a Rookie Field Agent while Elizabeth is a Gumshoe.

Alejandro has Barty Bell over to play,

and Rafael invited Kerie.

Luis asked his cousin Natasha Una over and she brought her husband Jonathan to meet the family.

Pauline came home after reaching overachiever status.

She bagged another scholarship and later made the call to leave. Her beloved Grandpa (now 101 days old!) was the only one to wave her off as her twin brothers were asleep as well as her parents. Elizabeth did get up just after only to find the taxi had just left before she could say goodbye.

and here is Pauline in her new dorm with her crush Justus who joined her (he showing off his biceps and oh no! he's a romance Sim... grr.) The tie-dye guy is Daniel Bell and so we'll be back quite soon to play his first round.

Summary- well I thought I had it all sorted for Pauline but who knows now with a Romance boyfriend, thankfully there are 4 years of college to get through so plenty of time for Pauline to find that special someone.

Back at the home lot I was happy to finally get Elizabeth and Victor their LTW careers as they will both be elders quite soon next time.

The twins didn't get a lot of 'airtime' as they were just happy skilling and playing with their friends.

Luis is quite the stalwart at 101! I wonder how long he'll live but we know it'll at least be until round 3. ;)
