The Viejo Family

 

In Riverblossom Hills at the Viejo Household it's Monday morning and we are here for the 4th time this round!

That's because Andrew (formerly Martin) married Catherine Viejo and took her surname.

After he was widowed he married Denene (Simpson), who became Viejo too, she is drinking eggplant juice to gain a skill. Baby due tomorrow!

Fortune Sim Andrew wishes to earn 100K for his LTW whilst Denene wishes to run the Sim City Hospital as Chief of Staff one day. Andrew is currently a Game Designer whilst Denene is a G.P. 

Fortune Sim Denene knows she's on Maternity leave but can't resist going to work and leaves at the same time as Andrew.

A chance card demoted Andrew and gave him the rest of the day off.

He spent the afternoon Gardening until Denene returned home with a promotion to Specialist.

At 8am on Tuesday Denene went into labour just as Andrew was eating leftover Baked Alaska for breakfast.

Their gorgeous daughter Justine was born, she has her Mother's skin tone and her Dad's eyes.

Denene handed Justine to Andrew and left for work. :D

Andrew's shift didn't start until later so he looked after Justine and played some Sims.

Then hired a Nanny and went to work.

No promotion for Denene as she still needs skills. Of course the Eggplant juice gives skills but never the ones you want!

They hit the jackpot with this Nanny, not only does she serve up a mean Lobster,

 She's actually really good at childcare. Win! :)

Andrew got his promotion back along with 1 logic and 1 charisma skill from a chance card.

He'd been having a good sleep when Betty Goldstein's ghost came out to haunt.

Denene had been doing the middle-of-the-night feed when she saw Betty's ghost drift past, whew.

or not! At least Betty waited until Denene had settled Justine back in her crib.

On Wednesday it was Justine's toddler birthday.

One of the first things Justine wished for was to buy new clothes! One of the second was to buy a car. A potential Fortune Sim me thinks?

Denene had Thursday off and spent some time working on her mechanical skill by doing odd jobs fixing things around the house.

Andrew guessed correctly on a gaming concept giving him a huge bonus. 

Which in turn completed his LTW and gave him permanent platinum forever. His next LTW is to be a Celebrity Chef.

On Saturday Denene arrived home with a colleague and a promotion to Surgeon.

She has a well deserved weekend off. She influenced her colleague Drake McCarthy to tidy up the garden a bit. It is Spring even though the snow is still thick on the ground.

Friday evening saw the whole family working on skills.

On Saturday Andrew took Denene on a date to Bernard's Botanical garden.

They worked up an appetite for a lovely lunch,

and visited a clothing store so Denene could get a more suitable outfit for Spring.

They also got phones so they can call up friends.

They were so busy dancing that they almost missed Justine's birthday into Childhood.

They gave Jacob's old room a little makeover for her though.

In the dead of night Catherine's ghost came out but never went in the house, she prefers to float around her beloved old garden dreaming of hot chocolate.

On Sunday morning the girls worked on more skills.

Andrew found the Culinary career and started at the advanced level of Prep Cook.

Denene threw a party and invited Jacob and his dorm friends as well as the Ramirez family.

She rearranged the kitchen once more, got rid of the two other tables and used just one from her backpack that was originally in the lounge area.

Andrew came home mid party with a promotion to Sous Chef and walked straight back to work after saying goodbye to his newest colleague.

He returned later that evening as an Executive Chef.

He needs more cooking skills to earn another promotion but spends more time eating the candies than making them!

Summary-

This was a fun week for the Viejo's, lots of work and skilling but they had a good time regardless.

It was funny to see Justine wishing for material things at such a young age but then both her parent's are Fortune sims so it must run in their blood.
