The Caliente's- Round 2

 

We're back in Pleasantview to visit The Caliente household, here is Dina with her daughter Lissa. Dina is a Fortune sim who wishes to become a Space Pirate and is already in the Adventurer career.

Nina is a Romance Sim who wishes to be a Professional Party Guest in the Slacker career.

This is their home currently, not much change from the original layout except to add a bedroom where a balcony once was and a desk downstairs.

On this Monday Nina got promoted to Freelance Photographer.

Mortimer Goth is Lissa's Father but he and Dina have no romantic relationship, he is now married after all but Dina doesn't deny him visitations with his daughter.

The ghost of Michael Bachelor had a busy first night.

Nina found her paper stolen and had just picked up the trash by this guy who she'd arranged to date the night before but she'd had the 'where were you' message and so had to spend all day trying to make up with him.

Dina and Lissa are the best of friends.

Auntie Nina is pretty cool though and threw a great birthday party for Lissa on Tuesday tea time.

I guess Mortimer was dark haired before he was grey. ;)

Nina and Don were trying to have woohoo almost through the entire party but guests kept wandering into the bedroom,

In fact the party ended before they were alone, finally, for some woohoo.

With all the interruptions I accidently hit 'try for baby' and naturally bells were heard. *sigh*. Dina was very jealous still.

Dina cried a lot so Nina grabbed some smart glasses and apologised, a lot. :)

Dina is a Warhead Disarmer after Wednesday's shift.

After a quick shower and a phone call the Caliente's impressed the Headmaster with a tour and turkey dinner and he admitted Lissa into his private school.

Nina woke up with a 'bump' during the night.

Lissa brought Pong home and they played some chess.

after that seriousness she needed to get outside in the winter snow and make an angel.

Nina was busy getting groceries and baking...

and decorating! The living room had a makeover for Christmas,

Santa arrived as Lissa was doing her homework,

He gave her a lovely teddy bear,

whose head she proceeded to smash on the floor... many times. 

meanwhile Dina (now a Hostage Negotiator)  had a choice to make....

oops

Nina is on the pregnancy pizza diet.

On Friday Dina cheered Lissa's first ever A+

Lissa brought her schoolpal Mallory home.

Later she made a new friend of Mallory (who'd disappeared at 6pm just before they could be buddies)

In the early hours of Saturday Nina had a little girl who she called Bunny, she has Black hair and green eyes.

Thankfully Lissa's old nursery was still set up (Lissa has a single bed in her Mum's room).

I don't recall why Nina was getting a telling off from the Nanny but maybe it's a case of 'Nanny knows best'.

Nina went to work and got promoted to Freelance Web Designer.

After work they all went to the Main Street Shops where Nina scoped the room for fun.

While Dina was buying clothes and electronics Mortimer started talking to Lissa and was encouraging her as she could 'ask him for Knowledge'... not sure what Knowledge she gained but maybe I'll know more next time. :)

Lissa got a new and warmer outfit and finally gave her teddy a big hug instead of smashing its head on the floor.

On Sunday after a double shift Dina is an International Sim of Mystery for her next shift. She invited Korey the Headmaster over as a friend, but she likes him quite a lot I think.

  

Nina gave the kitchen a makeover and baked a cake....

Just in time to celebrate Bunny's toddler birthday!

Just after that Nina made a phone call- a taxi arrived... she got in and Bunny crawled off the lot....

to their new home for next round... recognise it? Yes it's the Lothario house! 

Summary-

I decided the sister's house is not really big enough for two families and I've never had Nina live with Don before so this could be fun... :D

Dina does seem to like Korey so maybe she'll have another chance at love next round.

Burb Family- Round 2

 

Here we are at the home of the Burb family in Pleasantview. It has been 2 real life years (bar 2 days!) since I last played this family.

The first thing I did was to brighten up their home, they spent much of their time last round earning money so let's spend some of it!

Fortune Sim Jennifer is enjoying a long bubble bath in her new bathroom. Her LTW is to have 6 pets reach the top of their career. She has 2 cats at the moment and is in the Music career.

Teenager and Family Sim Lucy (who wishes to eventually see 3 of her own kids go to college) loves her Mother's career reward and enjoys working on her creativity skills.

Meanwhile here's John returning from his early shift as a Whale Tracker. John is a Family Sim who wishes to have 6 Grandchildren!

I was hoping John might turn into a Plant Sim and have kids/grandkids that way but he has only a few crops at the moment and Winter is setting in so he may have to wait until Spring, but in the meantime he has a telescope.

Jennifer's cats Zorro and Lara have 3 kittens late on Monday- boys Mickey & Jack and a girl Ebony.

Zorro is currently in the Service career and Lara in Showbiz but both need to learn some tricks.

With the addition of three new pets I extended the living area outwards by a few tiles to make room for more pet equipment.

John was busy stargazing in the early hours when Jennifer set fire to the pancakes...

Lucy kept a cool head and called the fire department, tipping nicely and making a new contact.

A little later heavy snow fell and Lucy spent her snow day down at the Main Street Shop where she met Orlando Centowski among others.

John earned his Silver Garden badge and he may just be able to harvest the last of his crops before the frost hits.

On Wednesday Jennifer started to train Lara to Roll Over while John did the same with Zorro.

Lucy has taken over the kitchen and made decent pancakes.

John earned 10K with his promotion to Deep Sea Fisherman.

Lucy served up some Vegetable soup for supper whilst John worked on a skill for promotion.

Jennifer is still teaching Lara to roll over.

John earns his captain hat on Thursday as a Protector of Whales. (thanks chance card).

Lara the Cat became a Stunt Double.

John worked on a new friendship on Friday.

Lara gave birth to a new kitten, a female called Sunny.

and a little later her original 3 kittens became adults. The boys got black and white colouring and Ebony got grey (you can see her peeking around the corner).

Jennifer put them all into a career, Mickey into Security, Jack into Service and Ebony into Showbiz.

Meanwhile Jen's own career was flourishing and she is a Symphony Conductor.

Jack had gone to work for the first time and got this chance card...

Jack went for it of course and earned his first promotion.

On Saturday morning Spring arrived and John started a new garden.

Jen had to make a crucial choice at work...

Yes, good choice Jen.

It seems that Ebony is a mean cat and is getting told off by John,

for fighting with one of her brothers. (You can see him at the top of the screen flying out of the skirmish).

Lucy left for her first shift as a Rock God on Sunday.

and soon after earned 100K to her name with a lovely big bonus (after choosing to dive into the crowd at her concert).

Lucy, who had been working on skills and friends also got to the top of her teen career.

Zorro is the first of Jennifer's pets to reach the top of his career.  That's one down, five to go towards Jen's LTW...:)

Of course Sunday wouldn't be the same without Family Day so after work Jen invited her brother Daniel over, he brought his Mother-in-Law Coral with him as well as his twins Lilith & Angela.

Also having a slice of Lucy's Berry pie were townies Calista and Cameron.

After everyone left Lucy decided it was time for her to leave too, she got some scholarships and called a taxi to head to college.

Summary-

A very busy week- didn't get anywhere with John's LTW- no abduction or sign of becoming a Plantsim but maybe next round.

Jen had a great week career wise and can knuckle down now to train her cats so her LTW can be worked on.

I've put Lucy into the dorm with the Grundstrom brothers and so we'll see her again before too long.
