We're still in Riverblossom Hills, this time at the farmhouse of Leod McGreggor.
Here's our Fortune sim Leod. We've seen him several times this round as he was a love interest for Betty Goldstein during her lifetime which paid off for Leod as she left him a little inheritance when she died.
Leod's Lifetime wish is to reach the top of the Business career and as his funds are quite pitiful (even with the 1K Betty left him) I got him the job he wish for as it was available that day and he left for work immediately.
It paid off too as he got a promotion from a chance card and was given the afternoon off to celebrate.
Leod went to the Town Centre Grocery where he met several new neighbours including Morty Roth and Malcolm Landgraab IV.
He then moved Downtown to Sims Gone Wired.
His friend Gabe O'Mackey was there and Leod shared the gossip that Catherine Viejo had married Andrew Martin.
Leod also met Nerissa Aijanagadde.
He soon befriended her and there was a good attraction between them.
With his next pay packet Leod could afford to get himself a decent bed.
Later that same day he was invited on a second date with Nerissa.
He didn't realise it was a group date though and upset Gilbert Jacquet when he made his move on Nerissa.
(Really Gilbert? You've already slept with Daisy Greenman since you bedded Nerissa!).
Anyway, the outing was ok in the end, but Alexandra O'Mackey is obviously upset on Gilbert's behalf as she came by and stole the newspaper not long after Leod had arrived home.
Gilbert came by too but just stared a while and walked off.
After work on Sunday (where he'd been promoted to Field Sales Representative) Leod made a call.
He proposed to Nerissa... then threw a party...
whew, thankfully Nerissa said yes. :D
The party was a great success and welcome to Nerissa McGreggor!
Nerissa is a Knowledge Sim with a LTW to become a Mad Scientist. She is currently in the Athletic career and as there was no job on the computer she will stay in that field for now.
Monday saw the first day of Spring. Nerissa is now a Rookie and Leod a Junior Executive.
Nerissa got a new hairstyle and reverted to her actual hair colour.
Leod started some garden plots and tended and sprayed his trees.
Then it was time to take his new wife on a honeymoon!
They stayed at a fairly modest hotel in Takemizu Village in the Far East,
They got some vacation related attire and even when it started raining they only had eyes for each other.
They sampled the local cuisine and meet some local people.
In fact their hotel is full of locals which is unusual but very well received by The McGreggor's.
After unearthing a map to the Pagoda in the Shadows a wise man told them an heroic tale,
and taught them some Tai Chi.
Both Leod and Nerissa were lucky enough to learn the ancient art of teleportation. That will be handy on their large farm!
Over breakfast one day in the hotel Nerissa shared that she may be expecting.
A great way for Leod to get to know everyone is to teach them an ancient legend. Everyone who hears the story is now in Leod's friendship panel.
The honeymoon was over too soon but the happy couple had a great time.
Once back home I found that Nerissa was friends already with Neil Cameron, a Sim I wanted to move into the neighbourhood during the Jacquet round as he shares a name with another townie, La Shawn.
Sadly he rejected Nerissa's request to move in even though they are best friends.
Leod returned from work as an Executive which earned him the career reward Execuputter.
Nerissa is in fact pregnant after all.
While Leod was at work the next day she went down to Le Magnifique restaurant where she ate lobster and chatted to some new Sims.
On Wednesday Leod brought his colleague Justus Carr home from work.
Nerissa put Leod's career reward to good use. She's still having no luck finding the Science career.
She decided to fish while Leod searched the skies.
Leod was able to reap his first harvest on Thursday.
Both he and Nerissa went to work, he in the carpool and Nerissa took the new truck.
Later Leod made best friends with Neil but he still wouldn't move in!
and later still Nerissa went into labour in their very grubby bathroom!
A little girl was born to them, her name is Macy.
Leod is an attentive father who likes baby cuddles.
Nerissa hired a nanny and they talked a while about Nerissa's honeymoon before she left for work.
Finally on Friday Neil agreed to move in!
He brought 12K to the household so I bought him some goods and stowed them in his backpack before moving him to his own place.
Poor Nerissa isn't a fan of changing diapers.
On Saturday Nerissa got a new outfit to herald the arrival of Autumn (no Summer in this 'hood) and (finally) found the Science career.
All his Gardening efforts paid off for Leod and he earned a Gold Badge in Gardening.
He decided to landscape the garden and sought membership from the Garden Club who came to do an assessment of his land.
It was good news for Leod when he earned a reduced rate on any seeds he now sows as well as the Wishing Well.
A little later that day it was time for Macy to leave babyhood.
She's now a toddler, with her Dad's features I think.
After teaching her some toddler skills and becoming best friends Nerissa put Macy to bed.
She'd just dozed off herself but then awoke with a true 'bump' in the night!
Summary:
Well it seemed like a long week at Leod's but I did just play Saturday to Saturday. Having the honeymoon extended the week of course.
I'm assuming that Nerissa being pregnant somehow prevented Neil from moving in as he moved in straight away after Macy was born. Neil will join the next round when we get back around to the C's on the alphabetical list.
It was an enjoyable week here, Nerissa and Leod have great chemistry and I felt he needed as many hands as possible to help on the farm, hence why Baby no.2 is on the way. :)
A whirlwind romance, a wedding, honeymoon, birth of a baby and another one on the way - wow!!
ReplyDeleteAs for the moving in, the lifetime friendship score has to be around 59 or 63; 55 (when they become best friends) is not enough. Usually, it works fine the next day, or two days after becoming best friends.
It certainly was a busy week for Leod! I like how Sims lead you to their own destinies a lot of the time. :)
DeleteThanks for the tip I will remember that next time. :)
Wow, a lot happening here! It is fun to just play and see where the sims' wants will take you. Looking forward to meeting baby #2 in their next update.
ReplyDeleteIt was an action packed round Blackcat! I do like that our Sims lead us a lot of the time. :)
